Big game tonight. Let's see if the Blues can't get a couple W's this weekend and cool off these trade talks a little bit. |

Why not do a trade for both Panarin and Bobcop?
something like Schenn, Allen, 2nd 2018 and 2nd 2019 for panarin and bob |

Agreed, and Panarin and Tarasenko are buddies
But St.Louis would need to give more IMO |

Allen came back strong as hell. The first two goals were terrible
Never saw a penalty like that called before. Weird call
Great job ROR!!!
How the hell could you trade Parayko at this point. He is our top defenseman trade Petro if you are going to trade a dman. |

Because the ref called it wrong, I'm pretty sure. Rule 10, illegal stick, requires the other team to request a measurement during the stoppage of play. Rule 12, illegal equipment (what they announced) specifies it only applies to protective equipment, and refs have to warn players prior to calling a penalty (exception being fighting and them finding your jersey not tied down afterwards.) Kind of hoping the NHL tweets explaining which specific rule allows them to call a penalty here. |

They explained it in the post game. Parayko is taller than 6'6 and has an exemption and has a taller stick than most NHL players. Tarasenko cannot use his stick. Any other players stick and he is fine. Parayko has a longer stick. I think Any player under 6'6 has a maximum stick length of 63 inches. Parayko with his exemption has a 65" stick. Therefore illegal for Tarasenko |

That’s not even worth Parayko and Bozak. If it’s Pietrangelo you’re after, it’s Nylander, Liljegren, and a 2nd for Petro and Bozak. Or Kapanen, Liljegren, and a 1st. |

For two expiring contracts? Not going to happen. Both could walk after this year. |

Except that the opposing team has to ask for the measurement. The referee shouldn't be asking for the measurement even if he knows the stick is illegal based on rule 10.5 |

Technically based on the rule book, i believe you are correct. Luckily it didn't matter for the Blues. |

Hell if I know. Just going off what Scott and Bernie explained and then kind of what berube said post game. I would think the other team would have to say something but oh well. Did think it was odd a penalty was called but if the ref does know the stick is illegal for other players e shouldn't call it? He has to wait for a challenge from the other team? Is that a challengable thing? Maybe that's why |

More importantly
4-2-1 in their last 7
4-0-1 in their last 5 one goal games (eng adjusted)
2-0-0 after blowing 3rd period leads in the last 2 games. |

Also
The team not folding after some bad early goals and Allen rebounded very well
Think the Schenn fight helped out. Even though it wasn't much of a fight |
